Another double feature this week, starring Aron Beauregard. I consider Aron both a friend and a colleague, but I am also a fan. The two stories I read for this post are excellent examples as to why that is. Aron brings a special touch to everything he writes, and, in my opinion, every story is just better than the last.
Enjoy these reviews and I sincerely hope you pick these up or add to your TBR.
Morbid Curiosities Book One: It Came with the Frame
by Aron Beauregard.
As a big fan of Aron Beauregard, I was happy to see this one on Audible as my reading time lately has been quite limited. In this short story about an infamous photographer known for the bizarre content of his work, he finds his own world being twisted by a photograph in an antique frame.
Aron creates a masterful tale of dread and insanity that builds from every page to the horrific end, as only Aron can do.
Highly recommend this one. 5 stars.
The White Bishop
by Brandon Perras-Sanchez and Aron Beauregard
I’ve loved stories about the high seas for as long as I can remember, and The White Bishop is a fantastic tale about a desperate winter sail for a big bounty. Built around superstitious sailors, frigid waters, and frayed nerves, how doomed will this crew be?
Better yet, how much tension and terror can two authors fit into one story? Come find out with The White Bishop.
5 stars.
