Jerry Campbell wants to be left alone, to live out the rest of his days in solitude, after the death of his wife. A retirement community in the Poconos seems to be just what he needs: gated, neighbors of his age, peace and quiet. He makes plans to move in, and then strange things begin to happen. The neighbors seem downright odd. Parties take place at weird times of the night, and things start occurring that make Jerry question his sanity.

With themes of dementia, grief, and the sadness of aging, Kiesling expertly crafts a cosmic horror story like no other, blending the sweetness of new hope with the sorrows of what once was, wrapped around that all too-human desire to remain young and eternal, by any horrifying means necessary. Another excellent story from Todd Kiesling, worthy of any bookshelf.
