06/18/2025 Author Notes: Double Feature from Crystal Lake's Dark Tide series: F.U.B.B Hardcore Horror

Double Feature is my homage to the campy gorefest films of the 80s and 90s. Just gore, violence, absurdity, and more gore, soaked in crimson. I was so excited when Jasper Bark and Daniel Volpe invited me to join them for this Dark Tide Book from Crystal Lake. F.U.B.B: Hardcore Horror was to be the 14th volume in the series. The idea for the overall storyline came from my younger daughter and was filled in by my memories of going to our small-town drive-in when I was a kid.

As every good, bloody gorefest should have, this one had some proper backwoods people, some clueless adults, horny teens, and more cannibalism than should be proper. I pulled out all the stops for this one, as the book title would imply. F.U.B.B. means Fucked Up Beyond Belief, and well, my story truly is. It was a fun story to write, and I hope you enjoy reading it.

Jasper and Daniel both brought their A-game to their tales in the volume too and are sure to make you cringe!
