Reposting some older Women in Horror Spotlights that I have shared over the years as these ladies are incredible authors, genuinely kind and compassionate leaders in the industry, and deserve all the recognition, not just once a year, but daily for all they do for the community, for their peers, and for other women in the industry.

Meet this incredible woman of horror!

Hailey Piper is the Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Queen of Teeth, A Light Most Hateful, No Gods for Drowning, The Worm and His Kings series, Your Mind Is a Terrible Thing, Cruel Angels Past Sundown, and other books of dark fiction.


She is also the author of over 100 short stories appearing in Weird Tales, Pseudopod, Cast of Wonders, and other publications. Her non-fiction appears in Writer's Digest, Library Journal, CrimeReads, and elsewhere. She lives with her wife in Maryland, where their cosmic rituals are secret.
