Welcome to Women in Horror Month for 2026.

Reposting some older Women in Horror Spotlights that I have shared over the years as these ladies are incredible authors, genuinely kind and compassionate leaders in the industry, and deserve all the recognition, not just once a year, but daily for all they do for the community, for their peers, and for other women in the industry.

Picture shows a background of a vast snow-covered field leading to mountains in the distance. A lone figure is seen walking toward the mountains. Title font, All The White Spaces is centered in the foreground in black letters, with the author's name in white font beneath it.

ALLY WILKES

Meet this incredible woman of horror!

Ally writes supernatural, cosmic, and weird horror. She's particularly fascinated by Polar stories and the exploration Gothic, despite suffering from seasickness and loathing the cold.

Her short fiction has been published in Nightmare Magazine, Three Crows Magazine, and she's also the Book Reviews Editor for Horrified, the British horror website (www.horrifiedmagazine.co.uk)

Ally lives in Greenwich, London, with an anatomical human skeleton and far too many books about Polar exploration.
